Builder, Edit and Preview in CLM Studio
Builder, Edit and Preview work with the same project, but each represents a different stage of authoring and review.
Choose the right mode
- Builder is the place to describe requests and review proposals.
- Edit directly refines supported slide objects.
- Preview opens the interactive presentation for review.
On a narrow screen, use Conversation and Preview to switch panels. An unsaved edit or separate proposal is not automatically the current saved presentation.
Understand the stages
A request is an instruction sent or retained for status checking. A proposal or candidate is a reviewable change separate from the accepted saved project. A build compiles source for an interactive preview. An accepted revision is a confirmed saved revision containing the accepted change.
Revision N identifies the saved presentation. After an edit, save and build the matching revision before relying on its compiled preview.
Review the actual preview
- Read the generation or build status in Builder.
- When a candidate build is available, choose Preview candidate.
- Inspect content and operate interactions across the presentation.
- Accept a proposal only after reviewing the actual result.
- For a saved presentation, open Saved version & build options. Use Check saved build to check existing outcomes.
Choose Rebuild saved revision when you need a new preview of the current saved revision. Follow the build status and open the matching result. Read the displayed availability reason if rebuilding is disabled.
Check freshness and delivery boundaries
A preview may belong to an earlier saved revision after the project changes. Check its identity, save the edit and open a matching available build.
An interactive browser preview does not establish behavior in a native Vault CRM client. That acceptance belongs to the separate target handoff workflow. Fictional sample personalization does not establish a connection to live CRM records.
